limeking, Upper Subansiri, Arunachal Pradesh
Taksing is situated on the southern side of the Subansiri River, immediately after it enters India from the west. Traditional hiking paths are visible on the river's south bank between Gelensiniak and Taksing. Taksing itself was revered by Tibetans as a magical charnel ground known as Ngampa Tratrok, where certain Drukpa lamas had meditated in the past. Taksing was distinguished by a massive tree thought to house the chief Tsari field protector.
